Fox Guest: Feminists Are 'Cave Women' Keeping Us In The Stone Age

By AHIZA GARCIA Published SEPTEMBER 2, 2014, 12:12 PM EDT

The hosts of the web show "PolitiChicks" appeared on Tuesday's edition of "Fox & Friends" to discuss what they described as the dangers of the modern feminist movement.

"PolitiChicks" Editor-in-Chief Ann-Marie Murrell launched the debate, saying that feminists are actually "sexualists" because feminism "has nothing to do with empowering women anymore. We earned the right to vote. We have equality in the workplace. If we don't, we can fight that on a one-on-one basis."

Later in the conversation, PolitiChicks co-host Gina Loudon echoed the view.

"What the feminist movement has successfully done, is really, as Ann-Marie puts it, sexualized women instead of feminizing women," Loudon said. "So, we are here with a new brand of feminism, saying drop the shackles of the old feminism. It’s time for women who really want to be women, who want to be feminine, who want to be what God designed them to be."

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Trolling.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue Sep 2, 2014, 12:57 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Looks to me like poster was calling Fox idiots
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think Blue_Adept forgot the sarcasm thingy (I hope).
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE <== Me.
Explanation: I waffled on this one - I *think* the poster forgot the "sarcasm" tag. If I get this right, Fox Bimbos said something stupid, then a DUer called them idiots, then another DUer demanded they not be "demeaned". I am going with "forgot sarcasm" tag, and voting to leave it. If it really is a Nasty Troll, my apologies!
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's stupid, but it's clearly satire.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I saw the video on Raw Story. One last thing that was flashed on the screen was "Women are afraid to be stay at home moms."

The economic reality both parents have to work in many cases for their family to stay ahead financially.

Someone who for whatever reason has a job, brings home her own paycheck, has some level of independence outside of her dependence on a man? Pretty scary stuff. Makes the housewives afraid to stay home? No. What should make them afraid is their odds of having made an economically unsound decision. Their marriage has a 50/50 chance of surviving in this country. So there is a 50% chance they are making the wrong decision by not being able to provide for themselves and their children. This is not feminists' fault, nor is it the fault of any woman who works outside the home.
