Just thought I'd mention it since I haven't seen one since the peak of the Bush years. This one was mounted on the side of a car, probably screwed into a metal frame post. Flag was about four feet wide. There was a young couple inside and I did my best not to look like anything was out of place when I had to wait along next to them for the light to change. But from the corner of my eye, I could see them both waiting to see my reaction.
If this has anything to do with preparation for the prosecutor's announcement regarding Zimmerman, all I can say is, that this is what happens when you allow a subculture to hold the cards for so long that their sense of fair play and justice has been skewed.

(8,224 posts)But I have never gone long without seeing the stars and bars in Central FL. I do see it displayed more often in Lake County, east Orange County, and west Volusia County, but never found the display rare in Seminole. But then, my job has occasion to take me to construction sites.

(46,757 posts)They try to "beautify" everything around here. Even to the point of making it more difficult for blue collar workers. i.e. no commercial vehicles are allowed parked over night in residential areas. They're also very good at hiding their prejudices.

I wonder how Hoosiers feel about idiots waving a flag of a nation that was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Hoosiers in the Civil War.
