John Stewart nails it. "Eric Cantor's $3.5 million salary is not salary, it is for services already

rendered."

This is the beating heart of corruption that is destroying good governance for common folk in favour of the rich, and they own the game.

Every current member of Congress, as Stewart also said, has their eyes lit up with Wall Street dollar signs even as they accept massive campaign donations from the very same people they then go "work" for. It is immoral and why it is not a crime is a mystery.

This has to end.

You can only change the rules of the game now by the only thing they still fear, common folks voting in their great unwashed hordes.

Everything else is locked up tight, but this carefully constructed vault has one major weakness.

You and me and some of our friends who need to find their way to the voting booths.

It is a path to the inside still open.

They can not see you in there, or how many are going to show up, it makes them very nervous.

Billy Tauzin a Democrat that became a Republican after the GOP won the House in 1994, 'retired' two months after he helped to get Medicare Part D passed into law. His next job? At $2 mil a year to head up the Prescription Drug Board.

Most of us don't deal with hedge funds or financial titans. But we don't have to support bought politicians. It's so corrupt, I have no idea how it might change.

Big or small. Local or national. City or state. Dog-catcher or President. People or ballot props. And do EVERYTHING you can, short of lifting and carrying, to get everyone you know to vote, too.

But because anything above dogcatcher is about campaign $$ I feel like whomever I vote for is beholden to corporate backers rather than to his or her voters. There are a handful who might not be, but that is sadly too low.

The only power corporations have is the power our corrupt politicians gave them.

We elected them.

They are suppose to represent the needs of the citizens and the needs of this country.

We do not elect corporations.

They are not suppose to represent our needs.

It is the job of our government to protect the citizens of the U.S. from monopolies, illegal activities, etc.

Yes, I blame the politicians.

I am NOT anti government.

I am anti CORRUPT government.

The 99% have no representation.

The 1% have the best representation money can buy.

The laws are set up to aid and abet the needs of the corporations.

about the "compliments"; I don't know the name of the brunette woman, but Jon made me laugh out loud mocking her with his edited response.
