Sen. Warren RIPS Cantor For Running To Wall Street (video)

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on Wednesday slammed former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) for taking a high-paying job on Wall Street after his devastating primary loss.

"This is wrong," Warren told Katie Couric about Cantor's new gig in an interview with Yahoo News. "People work in Washington and, man, they hit that revolving door with a speed that would blind you."

The former majority leader took a new job as a vice chairman and board member at Moelis & Co., where he will be paid $3.4 million over the next two years.

Warren said that banks hire former politicians "not because they bring great expertise and insight, but because they’re selling access back into their former colleagues who are still writing policy."

Nor was it a shock...it was expected of him. I mean did anyone and I mean anyone think he had any moral character??? Just look at what he stands for...greed, excess, money, power and selfishness. The credo of the republican party.
His whole ideology has been to 'get mine and keep the 99% out' at any cost. Again the republican philosophy. Every republican has moral fiber until they excuse themselves and go to the restroom. They are an absolute joke and a disgrace to America and it's people. We need to find a way to abolish the republican, libertarian and tea bagger parties from our country as soon as possible.

A politician with serious DC connections and significant ties to Wall Street not just for herself but her family members as well, so this statement won't put Warren in an awkward situation in 2016.

I think these firms already have access. I think they want his "expertise and insight" not to they financial markets, but rather to the policy makers. These people can already get almost any congressperson on the phone, or set up a meeting, what Cantor would help with is figuring out what to offer them or how to tailor their lobbying strategy to each official's desires and fears.

Our country is so incredibly corrupt.

This includes right-wing, neo-liberal, Third Way, New Democrats as well since they ultimately serve the same economic interests.

If elected, serve the financial elite, and you and your family are set for life. Of course, this means wreaking havoc on most Americans financial stability and well-being, but if you're a sociopath it won't matter too much!
