Another Obama care success story...

My daughter works for just above minimum wage and couldn't afford insurance before the ACA. Now she has insurance and boy are we glad. She was having big time stomach problems. It started by not being able to keep much food down and progressed into not even being able to keep water down. At the third trip to the ER they decided to admit her because of high pancreas enzymes ( they stayed elevated thru the whole affair). Finally after all this they decide to take her gall bladder and found she has an ulcer too.
She is home now and on her way to recovery, but if it weren't for ObamaCare I would be sitting in a lawyers office filing for bankruptcy right about now!

There are many similar stories about Obamacare successes. I hope people are paying attention to them in the run-up to the November elections.

I have a different kind of Obamacare story. Mine is of the before and after type.

My younger brother, whose now over 40, had a really bad hernia that he needed to have a operated on. He didn't have health insurance and Obamacare wasn't available yet, so he did research to find a doctor somewhere in the US that would do it for cheap. He got very lucky and found someone that only does hernia surgeries, and does them for a very reasonable price. The problem is that he was 10 hours away. Well, he got an appointment and eventually got it fixed. It cost him less than $1000. It would have cost him $5K to $10K if he didn't find this doctor. He was very lucky.

If he had Obamacare, which he now does, he wouldn't have had the stress of worry, doing research, and traveling to another state to get it done.

The other good news is that his "wife", who was spending a lot of money on her own insurance, was able to also go on Obamacare. They now SPEND LESS for the both of them than they did when she was the only one to have it.

My family is very happy for Obamacare - although I still don't think it's perfect.
