If you have msnbc, he is worth watching. (He's on following the Daily Rundown).
He does not take crap from these Congress critters.
Just had Ron Johnson (WI) who was trying to blame Isis on Obama and Jose' would NOT hear of it!
Johnson - Obama has been asleep at the wheel.
Jose' - that's not true. Obama has been bombing the hell out of them.
Johnson - blah blah blah it's Obama's fault.
Jose' - IF we didn't invade Iraq in the first place, would any of this be happening?
Johnson - It's Clinton's fault.
Jose' - So you still didn't tell me if you are going to vote for putting boots on the ground in Syria and whose side are you going to be on? Assad's or Isis?
Johnson - mumble mumble mumble.
Not to mention his support for blue collar workers and Immigration. And his willingness to go after this administration when they deserve it.
Hoping there is a clip later of his interview with Johnson.

(39,451 posts)would just let Johnson get away with this faux talking points.
I just wish Msnbc would wake up and realize that holding our elected official's feet to the fire is what viewers want.

(15,438 posts)He's amazing! He's what all American journalists should aspire to be like: unbiased and just getting the facts.
And, oh yes, he goes after this Administration when they're wrong. This is healthy in order to inform the American people and to keep the checks and balances as our once defunct 4th Estate was supposed to do. Diaz-Balart is a good journalist who doesn't allow politicians to pontificate their lies and propaganda endlessly without challenging them and correcting them.

(39,451 posts)he stands on the issues.
He is definitely fighting for immigration reform
Did an excellent job of reporting on Ferguson.
And now he is putting goopers in the hot seat.
He's got guts, which is seriously lacking on cable news these days.

(17,064 posts)I'm thinking he's taking a moderate position on immigration, a popular issue among FL hispanics that's costing the GOP dearly, but everywhere else he's hardcore GOP.
This is the same trap laid by the Pauls... find a popular issue to appear moderate on, in order to appeal to single-issue voters. One can agree with them on that issue, but before fully embracing them best to examine the whole picture.

They expect everyone to be just as delusional as they are themselves.

Never mind that Clinton's security team TRIED to warn the incoming administration and were ignored.
Never mind that when Clinton did want to go after OBL the msm called it Wag the Dog.
They still try and blame Clinton but we are not *allowed* to blame Bush for anything because that was so long ago

(42,753 posts)On more than one occasion I've seen them blame Jimmy Carter
for the mess Shit-for-Brains made of the economy.
Is that a stretch or what?

(23,944 posts)like their memories stopped functioning in September 2001 and didn't kick in again until January 2009. Everything is either Obama's fault or Clinton's fault. "Mission Accomplished" i guess.
