Was he just walking along the street in the community while packing heat when Trayvon came into his personal space perimeter?.. or....Was he riding around the neighborhood in a vehicle packing heat, then got out of the vehicle and followed Trayvon?
My target question:
Was Zimmerman just walking about or riding around? My thoughts are one is safer in the vehicle when confronted by teenage who is walking about carrying skittles and a can of ice tea. One can also get away quickly when in a vehicle....

(5,756 posts)If this self-important vigilante had followed the instructions of the 911 dispatcher and stayed in his vehicle none of this would ever have happened. He could simply have locked the doors or driven away if he felt threatened.
No, this policeman wanna-be wanted to "collar" a suspicious kid.

(109 posts)and I believe he stated he was walking back to his SUV when he claims Trayvon attacked him. So he said he was in a car and then on foot. According to Trayvon's friend (girlfriend?) he was talking to on the phone, Trayvon said that he was going to cut through a yard or something to lose the guy who was following him (not sure if at this point Zimmerman was in an SUV or on foot). I don't have time to search for the articles (if you go to tampabay.com you can probably find a lot. It use to be the St. Pete Times, a FL newspaper). I believe this girl he was talking to heard a confrontation, and then the line went dead.
