British jihadists in Syria are sorry, want to come home

Many other articles online, but few mention that those jihadists joined a militia that allied with ISIS and turned against other anti-Assad-militias. That connection to ISIS, that was established without their consent, would get them 30 years of jail.

On the one hand, I am sorry for those guys, because they were betrayed and are now used against those rebels that they really share goals with. On the other hand, I think going abroad and joining a random militia to fight in a war that doesn't affect you is so blatantly stupid, that they deserve anything that comes out.
