Rasmussen question: Who do you trust more? American people or national leaders?

They finally called me! I really wanted to trash GWB back in the bad old days, but, ok.

Most of it was about Obama, both domestically and internationally. An interesting question was, "Who do you trust more to know what's best for the country? The american people, or our national political leaders?"

That was actually a tough one. Eventually I went with people, but honestly, some people are so lazy and misinformed, that I don't actually have much more trust for them.

The also asked how I thought Obama handled Ukraine and if I want him to get militarily involved. They also asked the same about Putin and if he should exact more financial sanctions against Russia. Nothing about ISIL, yet. Not on their radar yet.

They also asked who I would elect for the senate: Dem or repub. Didn't mention any names or races specifically, just party. That will be in interesting number when it comes out next week.

involving large crowds of random people. One of the things they had the crowd do was estimate the number of marbles in a gallon jug. While many estimates were ridiculously high or low, the average of all the guesses turned out to be the exact number. This was replicated several times, the crowd coming within 0-5 of the exact number.

Generally speaking, I trust the people, but that means all the people. If we had mandatory voting by mail, elections would be very, very different. It would be a lot harder for churches, corporations and their plutocrat bosses to control the outcome, although propaganda will always be with us in election season. For every successfully propagandized dummy, there will likely be a contrarian dummy to vote against him.

This is better than the usual Razzy poll because it made you think.
