What will the response from the players union be to the release and indefinite suspension of Rice?

1. Their response ought to be "WTF took you so long?"

But it won't be. As a dues paying member of the union I suppose he is entitled to legal representation should he make an attempt at reinstatement.

So I guess the question is, how vigorous a defense will they put forth. I hope not very vigorous, but I'm skeptical.
