Anyone familiar with deadspin.com?

It's a sports reporting and opinion site.

The reporting and comments on the Ray Rice abuse story are very interesting.

The site is dedicated to sports and dominated by sports fans. It is not political or polite and the moderation is done very lightly, if at all.

That said, I have seem commentary, both from staff and from the general public that rivals any site for compassion, empathy, righteous outrage and intelegence. Keep in mind, this isn't a liberal or democratic community, so you have to expect, and will find, a variety of opinions. But the blame the victim crowd gets quickly called out, not just with passion, but with facts and well constructed arguments.

Compared to some of the stuff I've seen on espn or cnn, it's refreshing, to say the least.

Yup, it is absolutely rude, crude and holds nothing back (Check out "why your team sucks" which bashes the fans of every NFL team every season. But the reporting is top notch and honest. They have been all over the Penn State situation as well.

I'm a pretty big sports fan (American and European football, tennis, basket ball) and it's nice to have an outlet that defies certain stereotypes.
