I'm All Confused By The President's Address To The Nation Tomorrow & The Situation With ISIL.....

I can't figure out who's on what side. I'm hearing that Congress wants the President to come to Congress so that they can be on the record of giving him the authority to do what has to be done. I'm hearing that the President doesn't feel that he needs to go to Congress to escalate and get on a war path in Iraq & Syria. I'm thinking that the President wants to avoid another war and wants to do this in a way as to not commit boots on the ground or a lot of our money. I'm hearing that members of Congress want to also avoid another war. I'm hearing that other members of Congress want to declare a war and do whatever it takes.

Is Congress trying to put the President in some sort of box on this? If so - how and what are they up to? Are they trying to put the President in a damned if you do - damned if you don't situation so they could criticize him no matter what he does?

Could somebody tell me what Congress and the GOP is up to on this?

You have it all wrong. This is NOT about understanding something.

If you are a "good American" this is about being bedazzled, mesmerized, and soothed by carefully crafted words from someone behind the proverbial curtain, by someone other than Obama, who
doesn't give a rat's ass about what's good for American citizens, but only about fattening the fortunes of a privileged few.

Republicans will say or do anything which makes Obama look incompetent..They will lie, reverse strategies from agreeing with the President in one minute and disagreeing with him in the next. They don’t give a dam about solutions or winning strategies they just care about stepping on anything he does....

Democrats will abandon their President on a dime when they are up for reelection.. This is what is happening now...Should they abandon or not is a tough question...I would rather them do what they need to do in order to get reelected.. I’ll take a crappy Dem over any Rep/teabagger any day of the week.

However, I’ll close with this.. Many Dems. In the House and Senate have for 6 yrs been nothing but cowards by not tying in with the President.. They should have set boundaries years ago and stood their ground on with backing our Guy.. It has become way too late for applying this strategy now...
