Story below. Alan Brennert was one of the driving forces behind the 80's version of The Twilight Zone.
We got ready to meet Alan Brennert for brunch. Alan drove us to his favorite restaurant, Cha Cha Cha, where we had a great lunch and a great discussion on all the shows he's worked on, and what he's doing now; we also talked about the NTZ, which he has said is still his favorite experience. Not everyone would take time out of their Sunday to meet fans, so I very much thank him for doing so.
I look dreadful in this shot, but Alan looks great.

Two eras of Rod Serling's creepiest creation are coming together for the first time.
Out Nov. 11, The Twilight Zone: The 5th Dimension limited-edition 41-DVD box set ($349.98) collects the complete original 1959-64 Twilight Zone series as well as the 1985-89 show, plus has special extras only available previously on Blu-ray and a new documentary with never-before-seen interview material.
For those who've been hiding in their closest ever since being terrified by the first episode "Where Is Everybody?" the original anthology show became a timeless classic over the years for its melding of sci-fi, horror and thriller elements, Serling's cool narrative appearances and a host of peculiar characters, from the discomforting Talky Tina doll to William Shatner's paranoid, gremlin-watching plane passenger.
The 1980s version, while not as popular as the old show, offered episodes directed by a number of notable filmmakers including Wes Craven, William Friedkin, Joe Dante, Atom Egoyan and Robert Downey Sr., the father of the Iron Man actor.
The set is a numbered edition of 7,500, comes with an 80-page episode guide and is packed with special features including the American Masters episode Rod Serling: Submitted for Your Approval, various Serling interviews and appearances, cast interviews, sponsor billboards and audio commentaries.

My husband would really love this! Would be so much easier to watch than the ones he taped on Beta that are now sitting in the attic!

(915 posts)2. Twilight Zone is a major piece of Americana. K&R.
Studies show that very few Twilight Zone fans become republicans.

That's not 'Everything was better back then'. It's an honest assessment. Plunking down hard-earned bucks because of a director's name is ludicrous.
IMO.

We got several special items autographed and wonderful 1 on 1 conversation behind the scenes. An experience few fans ever get all because Marta spent so much time building her NEW TZ page.
The three pages in the OP are provided on most major sites dedicated to "The Twilight Zone".
