In Windows Explorer, right click and select Properties. The copy the URL (that's the "http://" address) and you can paste it anywhere. I didn't copyright it.

12. Doing this is called "hotlinking" if you post to another website (like a chatboard)

If an image is seriously being protected it will have a copyright symbol on it and/or the site will be set up so that you can't hotlink their online images to other sites. But this is the internet. I openly ignore copyrights on discussion boards cause no one's making any money off my use of someone else's image or bandwidth. Most places expect that sort of thing, anyway.

13. Ah I used to post on a board that was nuts about hotlinking. But I'll look for that symbol.

I download a lot from youtube, lectures and stuff with my Firefox Add-On. If it's copyrighted, it won't work. Some of the stuff, is not for sale, anywhere!

Although after July 12th with the new ISP thing, we can't do it even if it does work. That's when the new protocol or law or whatever comes into effect. The penalties are going to be way out of line. They're really going to hurt themselves in the long run.

I've bought a lot of music, DVDs and even books from content that was available there, that I'd never known existed. If it hadn't been uploaded, millions of people would have never seen or heard the stuff and then bought it later.

I download some stuff and discard it later, but the way the light is on the videos, I can't see it online, I have to use Quicktime to change the brightness. It just means I and lots of other people will blow a lot of content off. They really are trying to hold onto stuff too tight.

Thnanks for the net lesson!

15. Just what do you mean by "Wearers of Hoodies"? Is that a bad thing?

I mean, I don't. I'm a mild-mannered normal guy about town. But, you know, maybe some people just need to wear hoodies, for like, professional reasons or whatever. That doesn't mean we're as bad as Commies, or Bible-eaters, or bronies.

Ugh, Bronies... *shudder*
