I agree with Clark. It's not our fight (yet), it's local (for now) and instead of leading the fight with ground troops we should continue supporting the regional groups with air strikes, equipment and supplies and let them defeat ISIS/ISIL/Name de jour (hopefully).
As for Putin, he's almost as crazy as those extremists!

Will the companies involved in the military industrial complex be willing to take the same salary as a grunt until the war is over as Smedly Butler suggests?
Until there is absolutely no one going to make a profit on this...only then can we trust this is really about self defense.
Let's see how patriotic they really are.
Let's see the 1%ers offer up to give up the money they plan to make and see if the war is really necessary.
