Former NC GOP Candidate Arrested For Child Rape

After all, that party is full of criminals who hide behind “family values” and the like. This particular instance is a real doozy, though. It appears that former Cabarrus County commissioner candidate Chad Nevada Mockerman has been charged with statutory rape. And, here is the real kicker: his ex- wife is the one who turned him in to the authorities.
According to police in Concord, NC, Mockerman’s now ex- wife informed them that Mockerman had sex with a minor under the age of 16 in June of 2012. Mockerman is 39 now, which means he would have been 37 at the time of the crime. He turned himself in to police this past Friday. Conveniently (and suspiciously, some might say), that happened to be the same day the couple’s divorce became final. Now, whether this was an act of an angry, bitter ex- wife delivering the ultimate final blow to her husband or not is anyone’s guess. However, it is my opinion that, either way, the woman did the right thing. Children do not have the mental or emotional capacity to enter into sexual relationships with adults. This is why such relationships are illegal. These unions are rarely about love and almost always about power and manipulation. It is healthy for no one involved, least of all the child.
Mockerman certainly wasted no time in looking for another wife, either. He proposed to his girlfriend on August 9. A local paper said that he brought in “a local band, child dancers, and family members” for the affair. Wonder how old she is? My guess is that she isn’t in her 30?s. Indeed. Well, I hope this woman is up for conjugal visits and a jailhouse wedding if she is still with this sleazebag, because, if convicted, he will be spending quite a bit of time behind bars, just where he belongs.
