Conservative commentator A.J. Delgado said during a radio show on Wednesday that Ray Rice is a bigger victim of domestic violence than the woman he is accused of beating unconscious.
Delgado appeared on Fox News host Sean Hannity's radio show to discuss the video that reportedly shows the former Baltimore Ravens running back knocking out his then-fiancee in a New Jersey casino elevator.
"Some might even say watching that video that Ray Rice is the bigger victim of domestic violence here," Delgado told Hannity.
She said Janay Rice, who married the football star even after the incident, is being erroneously cast as the victim.
"I think that the key here is she doesn't consider herself a victim of domestic violence," Delgado said, before going off about the "liberal culture of domestic violence advocates that keeps talking about women's rights and empowering women."

(9,350 posts)The Hannity guest claimed Rice only hit her after he was hit multiple times. That is not true. Before they entered the elevator Rice spit on her than she hit him with an open hand. After they entered the elevator he spat on her again and she then moved to confront him and then he punched her with a closed fist. What does this woman think Janay Rice should have done? Was she just supposed to stand there quietly while he spat on her multiple times?
Hannity's went on to say Janay Rice knocked herself out when she fell into the elevator railing after Ray Rice hit her. His quest then said it was clear Ray Rice had not intended to knock out his then finance. First, Janay Rice did not knock herself out. Second, as if it matters whether or not he intended to knock her out with the punch. He punched his finance multiple times.
