Air Strikes need support, in the air, on the sea, and land. There are countless ways in which you can aid in our fight against ISIL by enlisting in one of the armed forces of The United States of America.
I have listed links to brief descriptions of the many career paths you can take to serve your country in this dire time of need. There are links for Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy. Each of the armed services has an air support role, take your time finding the right service and career. I have also included a link for information on recruitment centers so you can find the nearest armed forced recruiting center near you, where you can talk one on one with real service men and women. Tell them how concerned you are, how you want to help and just what you would do to make sure, once and for all, that radical violent fundamentalists will never again be able to scare us into war!
Go Soldier, your destiny awaits!

Half-Century Man
(5,279 posts)The military goes to work, when the politicians fail at theirs'. That is how it is supposed to work.
The politicians need to make a political choice to undo the damage of the greatest international blunder in 65 years. Shift the burden of blame away from the USA (and by association Western civilization) by conducting international tribunals on the war criminals from the Bush caused Iraqi War and occupation (both political and private actors). This will destroy a lot of their recruitment base, and dry up funding (at least during said tribunals).
Continue to politically build a coalition to politically engage ISIS/ISIL and undo them. Continue to use surgical strikes to back up the indigenous military forces.
Politically urge, with the largest number of international players as possible, the cooperation of area governments. Limit militarily force to the extreme.
