ESPN: Ray Rice told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in June that he hit his fiancee

Former NFL running back Ray Rice told Commissioner Roger Goodell in June that he knocked out his then-fiancee in a New Jersey casino elevator, ESPNs Outside The Lines reported on Thursday.
Rice, who was suspended indefinitely and fired from the Baltimore Ravens after footage of him hitting Janay Palmer in February was published earlier this week, allegedly told Goodell what he did in a June 16 meeting. ESPN cited four sources, each of whom wished to remain anonymous.
That contradicts Goodells statement to CBS News aired on Tuesday that the footage was inconsistent with what Rice had told him regarding the incident.
But one of Outside The Lines sources said Rice made it clear that he had hit Palmer, who he later married, and apologized for his actions.

The NFL should be quaking in their boots. If they manage to piss off 50% of the population (women) they could be in trouble.
Time to lose Goodell.
