The Palins have long reminded me of some family on a fictional cable TV drama.

You know, ones that are inherently dysfunctional but completely fascinating, like in The Sopranos or Big Love? And every couple of months, they have some sort of high-profile "episode" that highlights their totally dysfunctional nature.

The key difference is, I think Tony Soprano has more moral scruples than Sarah Palin.

She and her family are such whack jobs that I read this and promptly moved on. Forgot all about it. Just seems like another normal day in Palin-ville.

because you know all the principals take themselves and their flawed pseudo-religious morality absolutely seriously. Which is the tragedy of it. As long as we are plagued with these boors, it sure is fun watching them step in it.
