2. Something that I sense some folks around here would have done because for them it was either

medicare for all or nothing, and it would have been nothing, because at that time there was no way that the republicans or the blue dogs would have voted for that. At least with the ACA there is a path to move it toward a more Medicare for all.

Medicare was not ideal when it first passed either, but it got better
