The very special sacker kid at the grocery store

We always tip the checker if they take the cart to the car and unload it for us.

There is one special youngster that feeds the birds at the island at the end of the lot by just dropping seed there. The birds look for him when he is working. He does it on his own. I guess he is extra special, at least to the birds.

clean and modern, but had high ceilings and they perched and slept there. A variety of birds migrated from their nests outside in the awnings of the store and mostly stayed above the birdseed aisle.

I think they got their water from the melted ice in displays with various seasonal items, taken in every night. I'd look at the help and point up and they'd just shrug. The birds were there as long as the store was open, for a number of years.

That sounds like one cool kid, I'd be doing that too if I was him. I used to love feeding birds outside.
