The subject for this contest is "the LINE," the most elemental of the elements of design. A line can be straight or curved, jagged or rolling, straight, diagonal, up, down or sideways. It can draw you in or send you away.
The top two finishers in each round will advance to the finals, along with the next four highest vote-getters overall.
The preliminary round will run 72 hours, ending on September 15th.
Don't forget to vote and please feel free to share your comments! A HUGE thank you to all of our great photographers who share their work with us.

(36,413 posts)Even a crappy corporate job would be more tolerable in an environment like that!
I don't recall that episode but it sounds like a good one.

(65,215 posts)favorite is in the lead by lots--though tied this time. I know which will get my vote in the finals ("Feather" , but "Genesis," IMO, deserves second place.

(51,076 posts)as one of the photo contestants I will vote for the Morel, hands down.
If you've every eaten one and/or better yet hunted for them you will get where I'm coming from.

(18,614 posts)I really like the utter simplicity and subtle hues of the mooring lines. All of them are incredible interpretations of the theme however.
