We were all overjoyed with President Obama's election. He's had to endure so much crap since. In spite of that he's done many good things. BUT there are still two yrs left -- and there are big disappointments amongst all of us. What would my fellow Obama voters like to see happen in his final two years? To be remembered a hundred years from now as the first African American president -- that's great, but it's not enough. And I know Mr. Obama agrees with that.

(45,984 posts)Clemenceau effed up Versailles by insisting on imposing a harsh peace on Germany. This led to the German economic crisis of the 1920s and made Hitler's rise more likely.
The League of Nations was effed up by the isolationist Republicans in Congress. The failure of the United States to join the League contributed to its ultimate failure, which in turn contributed to the outbreak of World War II.

(188 posts)I live in Canada and as I was delving into the Governorship of the Bank of Canada, it occurred to me that the US might have a similar situation.
Pierre Trudeau was a Bilderberger, as all Prime Ministers but one have been for over 50 years. In 1974 Trudeau handed the Bank of Canada over to the
Bilderbergs and they control it today.
The Committee for Monetary and Economic Reform has had this in court since 2011 and Harper had it thrown out last year. However, a higher court reversed
that ruling and it will move forward although we don't have a date yet.
The Federal Reserve is also being controlled by the Bilderbergs. We are all in deep trouble if this isn't reversed.

(65,616 posts)When the history is written of this era, this is how youll be remembered: He was the first black president. Okay, not a bad accomplishment, but thats it. Thats it, Mr. Obama. A hundred years from now, he was the first black American that got elected president. And thats it. Eight years of your life and thats what people are got to remember. Boy, I got a feeling, know you, that youd probably wish you were remembered for a few other things, a few other things you couldve done.

(67,782 posts)...in my opinion not correct either.
He'll be known for finding and killing Osama bin Laden
He'll be known for restoring respect for America around the world
He'll be known for getting affordable health care for all Americans
He'll be known for pulling us out of the second worst depression in our history
He'll be known for being President when the DJIA first reached 14,000 and then 15,000 and then 16,000 and then 17,000
and so many others. Only a pessimist would think he'd only be known for being the first black President.

Also, they hate liberals even more than Fox Nation does. Fox just calls everything they dislike "liberal". the DINOs actually realize what liberals are and what they stand for, and they hate that.

(4,889 posts)Of course, myself, I quit getting disappointed after Clinton. I have no expectations, nothing ever goes like I think it ought to anyway. I read to much science fiction growing up, most of that stuff still hasn't happened except maybe Bradbury's video wall.
