If he ran as an Independent, that would guarantee a Republican White House.
President Ted Cruz would be a real possibility.
I would definitely consider moving if Cruz became President.

(31,257 posts)pretty quickly. Sanders, while filled with much piss & vinegar, will fizzle ala Howard Dean & The Kooch. If half the country can be convinced that Obama's a Kenyan, Muslim, Socialist; just wait till they get a load of Bernie Sanders.

With absolutely no chance of winning as an Independent, you have to ask yourself if he's willing to earn the scorn of both parties.

(18,115 posts)If he ran as an Indy, he would be taking on both parties and likely welcome their scorn. And his scorn towards each would be warranted.

(31,257 posts)exactly anything to brag about. Bernie's notoriety is based solely on what he says, not what he's accomplished. Please list Bernie's legislative successes, and I don't mean naming post offices, and cutting ribbons at the local Piggly Wiggly. He's been bloviating in Congress for a lot of years, and that would be great if he had been able to convince the body that he's a part of to take him seriously.

(38,613 posts)I say he should go for it. I'm tired of corporate-hugging Democrats using the Supreme Court as extortion for my vote. They have to come up with something better than that.
