Like General Julius Caesar Senator Sanders has crossed the Rubicon.

He wants to complete his bucket list with a run at being POTUS. I have no problem with that but I wish he had done it in '08, since.....he will not be running as a Democrat.

He has spent a life time in politics without having to choose a party and being very successful at it, why would anyone expect a change????

He will be well financed by those looking for a 3 way race, and why would we expect anything different.

friendly barbarians during his campaign and they fed him salad. Caesar had to have his salad at least once a week for the remainder of his life.

During July, Caesar's favorite month, he would have great feasts prepared. His friend Brutus would consume a whole roasted chicken every time. Caesar, always the gracious host, would say, "Eat two, Brutus, eat two!"

After crossing the Rubicon and winning the civil war, he took a nice jaunt down the Nile with Cleo.

Alas, there is a paucity of Lady Pharaohs these days.

As for financing, whoever does it will pale in comparison to the money doled out by the Corporations to Hillary.

Running for Statewide office is one thing, trying to get on the ballot in all 50 states, plus DC, is much harder.

not even know where the money came from. This is the new era of campaign funding.

The Koch brothers have already built an organization in all 50 states and could have it running and no one in Sen Sanders operation would know.

If he runs in the Democratic primaries he gets to have lots of free air time and gets to
debate the issues against the other people running as Democrats. Also he's smart enough
to know he doesn't want to end up like Ralph Nader.

You write that as though it's a fact. And your entire point is based upon that fact. Problem is, it isn't a fact. Sanders is not Nader, and he's not Ross Perot. If Sanders wants to be President he knows his only way in is on the Democratic ticket. HE will primary Hillary, and if we are wise, he will win.

Try this link, Sanders says he's looking into running as a Democrat.

He has no base within the party and probably would get less than 5% in order to get into the primary debates.

without running on the "D" ticket. Hence his statements about running as a Dem. Not sure why you continue to insist you know more about what he is going do than he does. Until he says he's going to run as an independent, I'll take his word for it that he's not.

Sanders has proven himself to me many times over, I see no reason not to believe him now. Unless you have some salacious bit of inside info you are not imparting to us...

Remember how Ross Perot helped GHQ lose?

Remember how Ralph Nader made Gore lose?

While it sounds nice to have Bernie run, he is to the left of Hillary and will take the majority of votes from the Democrat side.

Remember, candidates run party during the Primaries and then move to be centrists to attract those in the middle.

Bernie will never reach mainstream appear with those on the left or center. Forget about the right.

A vote for Bernie, as an Independent, would be a vote for the GOP candidate.
