The perfect handcuff key for everyday carry

WARNING: Not recommended if you are not white.

http://tihk.co/?utm_source=digg

TIHK is a patent pending handcuff key that utilizes an integrated clip for easy attachment to your clothing so it is ready when needed. Its minimal, low-profile design and low-visibility coating ensure that it can be carried inconspicuously and go undetected when detained. Designed to fit all standard "peerless" style handcuffs.

TIHK is the solution to evade unlawful detainment with standard Peerless-style handcuffs. For law enforcement, military, and security professionals this may include being restrained with their own cuffs, captured person release and evading capture themselves.

I don't think it's a good idea to encourage people to do this though--results may be just as bad as what happened to Michael and the police would then have a legitimate "fleeing/resisting arrest" reason to shoot.

Why set up people to get hurt. Should you also link to small hidden knives and guns in case you are arrested?

If you get cuffed by a cop, you MIGHT be innocent.

If you decide to uncuff yourself, you ARE guilty of resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, and anything else they can pin on you.

Illegal detention? Protest, don't fight it, go to jail. After jail, go to court. Sue the crap out of police and city-county-state whichever government body he/she works for.

You can argue with me all day long about your rights, but if I've decided you're being handcuffed, there is no room for debate, it is happening. Period.

Even if the arrest is "illegal" your escape or escape attempt is not. Your screwing around in the back of the car trying to release the cuffs could get you shot.

It makes the handcuffs easier for the police to unlock and tougher for a suspect to unlock.

Either way if you are handcuffed just cooperate and get ready to call your lawyer. I don't think uncuffing yourself is going to help the situation.

Unless you propose to use this for "recreational activities", it is an extremely bad idea, bordering on life threatening, to assume that because you decide your detainment is illegal that you should unlock handcuffs put on by law enforcement. At best, you risk your ability to make a legal statement when in Court, and at worst, you are risking being shot as a flight risk. Your time to assert your rights is WHEN YOU'RE IN COURT or in the presence of your attorney.

Once, handcuffed behind my back, in the back of cruiser, I managed to move the cuffs under my butt and legs to the front.
Boy, the cops were pissed and dumbfounded when we got to the station. (I was a little more lithe then.)
Another time the cop put the cuffs on so tight that I lost feeling in my left thumb for a couple months.

There was an incident here several years ago where a felony suspect had a hidden key always taped to his ass and killed two detectives while they were transporting him to the jail.

The state passed a law making concealed handcuff keys a third degree felony.
