Global warming.
Rising seas and the disappearance of ice and glaciers.
Warming oceans. Increased water vapor in the atmosphere that strengthens storms into super-storms. Already we are seeing huge increases in storm frequency and severity. Hurricanes, flooding, tornadoes, polar vortex, El-Nino, drought..
Weather radars recently added the color purple to indicate even more severe weather than the colors red, yellow and green.
Acidifying and warming oceans could eventually become unlivable for ocean life. Acid kills. Oceans that get too warm will eventually kill life. Oceans are the lungs of our planet where most of our oxygen comes from.
Fresh water is a declining resource.
Melting permafrost exposing and releasing enormous amounts of methane. A greenhouse gas 30X more powerful than CO2. Although, carbon from burning fossil fuels created the initial warming problem. Both carbon from FF pollution and methane are warming our planet at alarming rates.
If these problems are not addressed and done so soon, mighty 'Murka will be fucking helpless. On its knees, fucking helpless.
Global warming is a hundred times more threatening to all of humanity and ALL life on Earth than ANY other force.
On a scale of 1-100 of what threatens America..
Terrorism 1
Global Warming 100

In our quest for too cheap to meter and too expensive to clean up energy uses, the waste and emissions from all our energy uses have us polluting the atmosphere of this little blue ball to a degree, that life, as we knew it, will not survive.
I've seen the changes already in my brief lifespan. I regret that hardly any one else sees the changes. If they and we had, like Rachel Carson did, and so many others have, we might have not screwed up as bad as we have.
Kids. Prepare. That's all I can do at this point: offer a bit of advice.
