Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHow is YOUR preferred 2016 primary candidate better than the other potential candidates?
I've already seen several new OPs today in which giving a speech taking a standard Democratic postion is being trumpeted as if it is some wonderful thing that a candidate has done.
I've also had the same link of stances of a given candidate posted at me multiple times now, and told that I'm at fault because I don't see that it makes that person any more wonderful than any other potential Dem candidate.
So let's hear from you folks. In single comments, can you provide me with contrasting blocks of text from each candidate that actually show that your preferred candidate is better than other specific candidates?
What position has your candidate taken on a given issue that is DIFFERENT than that other candidates have taken?
What position have other candidates taken that is NOT the standard democratic position on a given issue?
Now's your chance to dazzle me by showing that I should vote for your candidate because others are actually less 'Democratic', not simply because they actually fit the same Democratic mold as every other potential challenger.
Let's hear something other than simplistic links to lists of accomplishments, or insults because I'm not impressed by a Democrat actually taking Democratic stances when I'm looking for things that matter in a primary.

(31,823 posts)I haven't seen the full field yet - so I don't have one. I'm interested in the thoughts of the Clinton/Warren/Sanders fans who are convinced these are the only people running.

So I'd love to see who actually 'fits' the Democratic Party platform and the Party's stated ideals best, and who fits it worst.

I want to see real comparisons, based on actual stances presented by the candidates themselves.

1. Barack Obama
2. Hillary Clinton
3. Elizabeth Warren
Since Obama can't run again, that leaves Clinton and Warren. Of the two, I like Warren better. For me, it's that simple.
Money drives our politics. Those who pretend otherwise aren't living in the real world.
