con·serv·a·tive

con·serv·a·tive
kənˈsərvətiv/
adjective

1.
holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion.

It is hardly traditional attitudes and values that we see from virtually all so-called Conservatives, unless by "traditional" you mean dating from the Palaeolithic era.

And "cautious about change"? They are fervent in their desire for change, back to.....the Palaeolithic.

The term is entirely unsuitable, yet will continue to be used because of the traditional attitudes and caution about change from politicians, the media and our culture.

Dystopian, perhaps. Conservative? The definition is in need of some serious updating.
