Boehner: 'I have a few knuckleheads in my conference'
By Peter Sullivan
On any given day, 16 of my members decide theyre going to go this way, and all the sudden I have nothing, he said. You might notice I have a few knuckleheads in my conference.
Boehner made the remarks to the International Franchise Association, warning of a politicized National Labor Relations Board, and said House Republicans were trying to counter overreaching agencies with oversight. But he added that he needs a bigger majority.

(82,849 posts)Boehner thinks any added Republicans will not be knuckleheads, apparently. And he know this . . . how?
By the way, John, could you favor the rest of us with who, in your estimation, are those knuckleheads in "your" conference?

(27,315 posts)Just put a few people without backbone in the leadership (boehner, McCarthy), add an ally of the knuckleheads (Scalise), and you put the caucus into the hands of Bachman and Gohmert.

(27,315 posts)either because they have been enticed to run for the Senate and lost their primary or because they have decided it was no fun to be in Congress.
This said, Boehner and McCarthy are just idiots without backbone who will let the RW branch of their party do whatever they want. In the past, it was already the case, but it was at least not stated.
Case in point: this bill passed the House today, because, with a CR which needs to pass before congress leaves town and quite a few important items, what was more important than to quiet the crowds ???

BILL TITLE: To require a full audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks by the Comptroller General of the United States, and for other purposes
a stated policy.

(45,251 posts)Are you upset they passed it at all or upset they didn't pass it sooner? And I don't understand the comment about quieting the crowds.

(27,315 posts)a loss of time for purely political reason, but it will certainly please the Tea Party, which was probably its goal.
