People who are angry at the world should not be driving

Some asshole just backed his car right into me.

I'm exiting a parking complex and a car in front of me was trying to use the exit gate that I always use. It requires a transponder. He was visitor so he couldn't use the regular gate that most people use. He had to use the other gate. There are two gates clearly labeled.

The parking attendant politely tells him this and he appears to get angry. He quickly throws his car into reverse and without looking, he backs directly into my stationary vehicle which was directly behind him.

Then he gets out of his car and blames the parking attendant. He tells me that she told him to back up and it's her fault!

What a joke. I have the parking attendant as a witness and CCTV cameras. He better not try to pull some shit.

He seemed like one of those people who's angry at the world.

He put his car into reverse and backed up so fast, I had no time to react.

This guy shouldn't be on the road. He's a danger!!

Thankfully this was a very low speed accident.

It must be hard to remember such things while having a temper tantrum. I hope he got a citation. Assholes like this are a menace.

I was rear-ended a couple of years ago, and didn't begin to feel significant pain until a day or so later. Luckily a short stint of PT took care of it, but just because you feel okay immediately after the accident doesn't necessarily mean you won't develop problems later.

Best wishes.

And many of these kind of people are strapped with guns just looking for confrontation.

See Zimmerman and Michael Dunn.

stopped short at a light, because an emergency vehicle was coming. No accident; but the driver of the big Pick Up behind him followed him for 2 miles, tail-gating him, swearing and making obscene gestures. The Ex-husband just continued on his way, not engaging the guy.

When the Ex-husband pulled into the parking lot of his destination ... Big Pick Up Guy, pulled out a gun and shot Ex-husband dead.

We live in a sad, sad, angry world.

And you're right -- really angry people shouldn't be driving.

I also believe that people who think getting somewhere in a hurry is more important than the lives of their fellow travelers shouldn't be driving. Passing me (with my kids in the car) around a blind turn in a no-pass zone so you can drive 70 mph on a 45 mph county highway, with the end result of you getting stuck behind the school bus about 15 seconds before I do... well, that turns ME into one of those angry people who shouldn't be driving, lol.

I work quickly.

I think at first he was trying to dispute liability, then he was told about the CCTV security footage which caught everything on tape.

He caved.

If you never would have left the house this morning, he would have never hit you. However you chose the leave the house, get in the car and have the audacity to actually operate it, you are to blame.

It's not really about emotion. One could be a yellow light away from tears, so long as they are paying attention. I'd rather have the maddest asshole in the world in front of me if he/she is paying attention than 10 shiny happy people texting like fucking morons.

I'm glad you're not hurt and I hope that the damage was as minor as possible.
