This contest was really fun and the entrants were ALL winners, even those that didn't make the finals. A very, very hard choice.
But the winner is -- and I know you desperately didn't want this, Peggy -- CALIFORNIA PEGGY, for the beautiful "Antelope Canyon, AZ," a runaway favorite.
The runner up, in second place, is "The Feather," by rdking647
And finally, in third place (and host's choice), "Genesis," by Mz Pip
Rounding out the top 10
#4 "Mooring lines, Nassau, Bahamas," by EARTH_FIRST
#5 "Golden hour at Jacobson's," by ALFREDO
#6 "Veranda," by CALLALILY
#7 "How not to step out of line," by MIRA
A three-way tie for #8 "So many I can't count," by MICHAELSoE*; "Horizontal, vertical, askew,* by NV WHINO; and "Rock formation, Upstate New York," by CNTRYGRL
Well done, good and faithful photographers! Now, take it away CALIFORNIA PEGGY. (Yes, I will help you. )

(14,910 posts)Although I'm probably not alone in my thoughts here that as soon as I saw this during submissions, that this photograph was going to be a major contender.
Kudos on your win, CP!
A stunning image worthy of praise and a fantastic winner to an amazing monthly contest.
I stated in an earlier response in the group that this was in my opinion the strongest group of photographs in some time.
Congratulations to all those who entered and placed...looking forward to next month!
Thanks for hosting another well-organized monthly contest, Blue!

(149,611 posts)Just don't go in the summer, if at all possible. The word has gotten out about this fabulous place and there are more tourists than ever.
In the off-season, it's possible to avoid the crowds. And the sun shining down into the slot canyon is just as bright.
My picture was from the Upper Antelope Canyon, which is way more accessible than the Lower Antelope Canyon.
