Colo Gov Candidate Beauprez Wants To Seize National Parks From Feds.

Bob Beauprez, Colorado Governor Candidate for GOP wants to seized the National Parks and federal lands from the federal government. As part of the western rebellion movement he and the GOP wants to go back to the best use idea that sells extraction rights to oil and gas industries. Such policy also favors even selling of a park like the Rocky Mountain National Park to private interests or corporations altogether for development. It is part of the GOP privatization plan for the commons.

Forget improving the commons and infrastructure the GOP wants to crash everything so it can be sold to private interests even foreign corporations or even places like China. Hell they would even sell to ISIS for the right price. they are that corrupt.

All this talk about investing in infrastructure will go no where with the GOP. They are being bold about their intentions because the believe the billionaires' money will win all the elections for them. We know that the dark money will be probably in the billions this cycle. Look at all the ads starting even in April last year.

With the GOP our commons are headed for a privatized TOLL system for highways, water, energy etc. They will even sell you "toll air" in the end. Can't pay. Cut off your air.

I have posted this pot a number of times and as Americans we need to really wake up. We already have a foreign owned toll road in Colorado called E470. And part of US 36 was sold in a private/public partnership for 75 years. Then the shit hit the fan locally with voters who still bitch that they won't pay taxes to fund infrastructure. SO go figure that one out.

Beauprez has been quite open that he believes that private interests should own what is vital for life and not just federally owned assets.

At this point, despite yesterday's poll*, I'm expecting ole Bob to go down in flames per usual. But turn out will matter, and I worry that his, and Gardner's free market cheerleading will push the state's Overton window.

I wish Hick was less of a fully owned subsidiary of the oil services industry, and that he was just better at getting people interested in governance.

* that poll seems out of nowhere and it doesn't fit with either trends or non-candidate polling. Something went wonky with it, but I haven't seen the raw data to figure it out.

their forests and untouched landscapes, especially those living in the East and Northeastern parts of Colorado....

and yet they will vote for someone who wants private roads into and out, a McDonalds at the entrance and exit
and a chain of hotels and private gun ranges at every National Park in his grasp.

I don't get it...
