Jaysus, Joe. Biden Praises Former GOP Senator Infamous for Sexual Harassment at Women's Forum

This is just beyond stupid of him.

Oh, Joe.

Gaffe-loving Vice President Joe Biden picked the wrong former Republican senator to praise at a Democratic women's luncheon on Friday.

Bemoaning the demise of reasonable GOP dealmakers in Congress, Biden cited former Sen. Bob Packwood (Ore.), who resigned in 1995 after 19 women accused him of making unwanted sexual advances toward them. It didn't help that he made the reference at the Democratic National Committee's Women's Leadership Forum.

This week Biden referred to Asia as "the Orient", referred to bankers as "Shylocks" and strayed on the issue of ground troops.

why is he considered on our side again? As I recall, when not reminiscing about sleeze-balls, he also helped put together bankruptcy "reform" which utterly screwed the poor, while putting billions in the pockets of banks.

for much of his Senate career. He was big banking's man in Congress.

everything seems to come back to corporatism as the biggest threat.

he was a huge drug warrior, the person responsible for the very phrase "drug czar". His kid Hunter is set up well though, having been made a director of a Ukrainian Fracking company.

Joe Biden's Awful Record on Drug Policy

…from a policy perspective, it’s a disaster. Biden has sponsored more damaging drug war legislation than any Democrat in Congress. Hate the way federal prosecutors use RICO laws to take aim at drug offenders? Thank Biden. How about the abomination that is federal asset forfeiture laws? Thank Biden. Think federal prosecutors have too much power in drug cases? Thank Biden. Think the title of a “Drug Czar” is sanctimonious and silly? Thank Biden, who helped create the position (and still considers it an accomplishment worth boasting about).

Tired of the ridiculous steroids hearings in Congress? thank Biden, who led the effort to make steroids a Schedule 3 drug, and has been among the blowhardiest of the blowhards when it comes to sports and performance enhancing drugs. Biden voted in favor of using international development aid for drug control (think plan Columbia, plan Afghanistan, and other meddling anti-drug efforts that have only fostered loathing of America, backlash, and unintended consequences). Oh, and he was also the chief sponsor of 2004’s horrendous RAVE Act.

When he's not doing the above, perhaps he's plagiarizing his next speech. A wonderful guy, this Biden. I never liked him and never will. I wouldn't vote for him if someone held a gun to my head.

And when he's not plagiarizing or doing the other things, he's calling for a New World Order. Really. I'm not making this up. I wish I was. Proof:

Could some sort of dementia be setting in?

Really, I think they should keep Joe under wraps for a while until they determine what's the matter with him. I like Joe Biden, but I sense there is something quite wrong. He's losing his filters in a big way.
