Times of India: Eradicating poverty will defeat extremists: John Kerry

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/us/Eradicating-poverty-will-defeat-extremists-John-Kerry/articleshow/42941803.cms

Here are some of Kerry's powerfull remarks:

"Whether it's ISIL or Boko Haram or Al-Shebab, their ideology does not include a plan to build a nation,"

"They don't have a plan to create jobs or deliver opportunity. They don't have any of those things that people most want. But they do have a strategy to capitalize on the grievances of those who feel under-represented and left behind,"

Thats the wiews a lot of people around the glope are also sharing. Terrorism, as well as populism, had always and will always be nourishing itself with the fears, the economical unsUfficience, and the lack of perspective and prosperity? Why here in France do we are currently, as our intelligence says, around 300 young French citizen, (or youth coming from immigration) fighting abroad in Jihad? Hey, just because they come from popular and unfavorized backgrounds, and, through the internets and communautarist movement, they became the easiest target for the Jihad recuiters!

No, it won't. Kerry's wrong on this. These groups really are about Islam. TwilightGardener Sep 2014 #1

You can't define any religion withing those terror extremist groups. Are the Integrists Christians representing Christianity? No. The same with Islam.

this radical Islamic nuttery is attracting psychopathic true believers from all over the world, and not necessarily poverty-stricken areas. These are the religiously insane of the Muslim world. They can get fighters and volunteers from among the poor, as foot soldiers, but it's not the foundation of these groups.

But, in France indeed, a vast majority come fron there. In those groups, the one who have not poor-backgrounds are de strategist, the recruiters. But the executants who pretend to die as martyrous are mainly coming from unfavored backgrounds and/or areas.
