(169 posts)Surely FSU and Nike were going for a combined F and S which, because of right angles of their font, comes out looking like a centuries old German heraldic symbol called a Wolfsangel.

Unfortunately a few SS units used this symbol in their identifying shields and obviously the new FSU symbol brings this to mind - let alone the easy leap to imagining the symbol as a stylized swastika.
The trim on the FSU uniform that incorporates this symbol most be meant to evoke designs on Seminole textiles. The uniforms are really good looking - to bad the did not foresee the connections people could make to WWII fascists.

Representing Florida Seminoles.
If you are seeing swastikas
Are you implying the schools football team is in some way a neo Nazi organization ? How about that guy on the logo wearing colorful face paint and cute feather earings , you dont suppose he could in some way be representing a gay aspect of the football team.
Gay Nazis?

(8,170 posts)A widely used symbol is Germany but not specifically Nazi
The closest you get is the use of the symbol by Dutch Fascists
