had visited an abortion cliinic.

These right wing assholes can say the most racist, vile, totally made up shit pulled out of their ass and in minutes, it will be all over DU, MSNBC, progressive radio, etc. When, if ever, do progressives EVER say stupid shit like this? They don't, so we never hear about the progressive posiion.

We don't hear progressive voices anywhere in the MSM but we are inundated with right wing crazy.
I don't thiink this is an accident. We are being brainwshed. If we are fighting amongst ourselves, we are not fighting them.

After wathcing ads for "The Biggist Looser" all I can think of is if you are wasting your time watching this, YOU are the biggest looser.

Maybe the Ebola thing is a blessing.

We're destroying the entire earth to support these worthless resource consuming meat bags.

Why is her life more valuable than the lives of a 13 year old Liberian child? After all, every death helps bring us closer to 500 million. If Ebola is a blessing, wouldn't war, murder, starvation, etc be blessings as well?

resource stealing and hoarding billionaires who are causing this world it's destruction?

I certainly don't think a bunch of Socio/psychopathic super rich people should be allowed to inherit this beautiful jewel that they themselves are destroying.

"It was interesting that when Joan Rivers -- and the procedure that she had done, where she died -- that was (at) a clinic. It's a curious thought that if they had had that type of regulations in place, whether or not that individual would be still alive," Perry said at a Texas Tribune event Sunday.

Palin speaks in cocktail party speech (an actual psychological phenomena) loaded with cliches and recently what sounds like literally to many cocktails. Perry is at least her cognitive equal.

“Everything that can be thought at all can be thought clearly. Everything that can be said can be said clearly.”
― Ludwig Wittgenstein, Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus

In other words if your statements are unclear, the thoughts behind them are not merely unclear, they cannot rightly be called thoughts at all.

Or more succinctly, if what one says is not clear then no thought has actually occurred.

That is an adequate description of the word salad that spills from the mouths of Perry/Palin etal.

Another useful quote from Wittgenstein,

“The limits of language are the limits of one's world.”
― Ludwig Wittgenstein, Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus

This is why Right Wingers live in a limited world. They don't understand the function of language and how it works. What you get from them is the conceptual equivalent of sheep bleating.

13. Cocktail Party Speech was first noted among mildly cognitively impaired children.

The phenomena also occurs in adults with mental illness, cognitive impairments, substance abuse. The content of speech is disassociated from the reality and the environment the person interacts. Usually among children articulation is intact but content is not related to anything relevant in conversation. A similar phenomena of indeterminate cause occurs in adults. The Palin Courik interview was classic and was the first time I noticed it in her. As for as content Palin was at a loss and responded with what she thought sounded good. The word salad description fits well into actual descriptions of cocktail party speech. If you listen carefully what both Perry and Palin say sounds relevant but actual content is not there. Often there are word finding difficulties such as when Perry forgot the cabinet posts he was going to eliminate. Both rely on cliches that elicit a positive response in their audience. Making a disassociated link between an abortion clinic and other clinics for Perry is perfectly logical that is all that is in his repertoire. Hitler managed to do the same thing he could go on for hours always relating every issue back to Jews it was just in his repertoire the end result was truly tragic.

It appears that Wittgenstein is observing the same phenomena from a philosophical perspective. I intend to look up his work. While I was a speech therapist I could feel compassion for the children with this condition. For adults especially politicians the implications are alarming. Recently Palin has started slurring her speech other than being drunk in public (including public brawls) I am not sure what that means.

I didn't know she was Jewish.

I just hope Perry has buried himself so deep there is no chance he'll be able to run again. I told my mom that I'd like to see him share a jail cell with Christie (actually my jokes about Perry got a bit worse than that, but I'll keep those to myself).

That the archaic rules for abortion facilities should be extended to all outpatient facilities.

But there's really no telling what he actually meant.

In June or July of next year Perry will be sent packing yet again and hopefully that will be the end of his political career.

Until then the stupid will continue to flow from his mouth like toxins into the Ohio River.

He should have thought that through... Now it's all his fault she's dead. Will charges ever be brought?

Of course not, he is an elected official. The only punishment he can ever recieve is to be voted out. So he pre-empted that. He's going straight to his sugar daddies the Koch's now, anyway. Why bother with those treacherous voters who might use the government against him?

Perry gives the traditional 'American capitalist running dog lackeys' a bad name...
