After posting my first response, I was thinking: this guy had already put the bar up there pretty high. But it will be impossible to top his nonsense about Isis coming to America to kill "millions," then "all of us."

That type of purposeful lie, intended only to scare the public, should disqualify him for any position of authority.

No doubt the South Carolina defense contractors are eating Graham alive over military budget cuts.
Graham needs ISIS you see. ISIS can help him to take care some of the people he represents.

Hay, nice profit if you can get it.

Seriously folk, you don't see Scott Walker going around blubbering about ISIS.
The people he represents care about other things.

But how about the cat who almost caught the tail of a cat passing by, and the almost victim thought it was another cat, totally innocent, in back of him and and attacks him...

And the persistent kitty who shows no sign of tiring of trying unsuccessfully to jump to the top of the counter...somebody moved the damned chair he's thinking.....

And the daredevil who thinks diving into a pool is so cool....

How do you get anything done, Grits? Those cats are so entertaining...

is because he was a lot more hysterical than I've ever seen him. I have seen him upset a lot on teevee but it always has this measured undertone that politicians use when really pushing a point. It's controlled hysteria.

This time he really seems unhinged. He was on the verge of literally shrieking. I don't think he was using scare tactics while knowing full well what he is saying is over the top.

I know you have probably had incidents when someone you were familiar with says something with a certain tone that really catches your attention. When I taught school, if I used a particular voice on occassion, the students shut up and listened immediately.

Ya gotta wonder how many demons, hobgoblins & bogeymen infest the average conservative brain. Satan, Commies, ISIS, the Black Panthers, gays trying to infect them with AIDS, disease-ridden immigrants, the Socialist Kenyan….Wow, it's a scary world in there.

there has been no public panic over earlier fear efforts.
For which I thank Bush. He and his boss, Cheney, soured the public on war mongering so much that now we don't give credence to McCain and et al
when they shout BOO!!!!! over yet another attempted war hysteria move.

However, I think Lindsey really believes ISIS will be in Charleston in the near future. Gawd help them because the 'grande dames' who rule over the city are not to be messed with. They'll cut off heads for not saying yes ma'am.

powdered wig, corset, hoop skirt, lace gloves and fan. Of course, the picture wouldn't be complete unless unless Lindsey was supported by a troop of luscious, shirtless hunks in skintight doeskin breeches offering smelling salts, and tempting him with Mint Juleps or spooning syllabubs down his gullet.
