There will be troops in Iraq and Syria.

Make no mistake about it. I've watched the so-called "news" long enough to know the game.

There WILL be multiple battalions of U.S. soldiers joining the special forces already there. The difference this time is that they will be added slowly, rather than as a massive invasion force.

I don't see our Arab allies putting their armies on the ground, so we'll have to do it because missile strikes will only scatter survivors to regroup somewhere else in whack-a-mole fashion.

The U.S. media is the interface between TPTB and the public and serve as the sales vehicle. Right now the Pentagon is doing their victory dance on the TV machines in order to elicit rah, rah, rahs from the proletariat. And, every utterance by every reporter includes the "boots on the ground" sound bite.

It's going to happen.

Do I think that this is what President Obama wants? No, but the forces pressuring for ground troops are not insignificant.

4. Absolutely. The thing about a mechanized engagement with an enemy is that

someone has to make the machines of war. And when war machines are made, some people get rich.

Those war machine makers apparently have blown through their profits from the past decade and are obviously in need of another cash flow channel.

"Now do you finally believe Obama is not Bush?" follow up convo.

Most of us figured that out about 7 years ago.

an Obama supporter. And nowhere in my OP do you see anything close to me saying Obama is bush.

Those are YOUR words, not mine.

The military might have to ask all the police departments and school systems for all the MRAP vehicles back.

10. That's a stupid question. Is the media building up the case for lottery numbers?
Tue Sep 23, 2014, 11:43 AM
Sep 2014

Is the media trumpeting the need for a certain set of numbers to win the lottery?

The simple fact of the matter is that the U.S. media is working the exact sames drums-of-war, boots-on-the-ground program they used to gin up public support and prepare the public for ground action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We've seen this before. We're seeing it again.

are not precise enough and too many civilians get killed in the process so troops will be needed to be more precise and less sloppy. i just left an article where this was mentioned i can't remember which one, it was about generals contradicting Obama's "no boots on the ground" and advocating for troops over there.
