1. It's a useless gesture since all Republicans believe that gridlock

occurred because the mean old Democrats won't let anything get passed. They seemingly have no clue that the Republicans control the House and filibuster everything in the Senate.

2. Sad to say - this is what most Republicans want!

Even those on food stamps, social security, Medicare, got some type of disaster assistance in the past, etc. etc.
