Former Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) Mulling White House Bid

Webb Mulling White House Bid

Former Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) said he was seriously considering running for president on an anti-war platform, The Hill reports.

Said Webb: "I have strong reasons for being a Democrat. Basically if you want true fairness in society you want to give a voice in the corridors of power for the people who otherwise would not have it, I believe that will come from the Democratic Party and we're taking a hard look, and we'll get back to you in a few months."

I think his politics are a little moderate, but they had to be to get elected in VA when he ran. He would be loosed from those restraints as a President.

He is a brilliant person if you listen to him speak. He is also a hell of a debater. I've never seen him in a political debate that he didn't dominate.

than we get a viable choice other than Hillary. If she has no serious competitors, democracy is weakened.

He was a republican til W stole The Whitehouse and started instituting racist policies while using Condi Rice and Colin Powell race card shields.

To paraphrase Amalric, run them all, the Democratic party will know our own.

I don't see him being any more successful than Joe Lieberman was.

He's good on one or two issues, but as my Virginian Senator I did not feel like he represented my economic interests very well.
