"Courtesy Of The Red, White, And Blue (The Angry American)"

By Toby Keith

Hey Uncle Sam
Put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shakin’ her fist
And the eagle will fly
Man, it’s gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringin’ her bell
And it feels like the whole wide world is raining down on you
Brought to you Courtesy of the Red White and Blue

Justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
And you’ll be sorry that you messed with
The U.S. of A.
`Cause we`ll put a boot in your ass
It`s the American way

We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, Democrats and Republicans are not the least bit interested in solving it. they are interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections.

Say so long to what's left of the New Deal, no one needs it. Sanders has been begging people to get out to vote this year. But they won't listen to him, he's out of style. Why should he bother to run in 2016 to help those who can't stir themselves up enough to vote when he begs them to? He's a realist, not a sacrificial lamb for the indifferent.

I kept the faith and I kept voting. Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand.

~ Billy Bragg

There is more than one issue to vote on this year. But even Rand Paul has let down his leftist fans. He's already said he'd go all out against ISIS, if he is elected President. Say good bye to women and minority rights, to college loan relief, overcoming Citizens United and doing the right thing by immigrants and saving secular government. And enjoy a Koch run future.

It all coems down to Charlie Pierce's Three Principles of Idiocy:

1. Any theory is valid if it sells books, soaks up ratings or otherwise moves units;

2. Anything can be true if someone says it loudly enough;

3. Fact is that which enough people believe, Truth is determined by how fervently they believe it.

I hate it, too. I don't want to go through this again. I feel only slightly less horrible about it because it's not some fucking neocon or bill kristol type, or somebody needing to prove he's macho because he weaseled out of the draft awhile back, who's steering it this time. But there shouldn't even BE a "this time."

But dammit, I'm gonna get out and vote ANYWAY. Because I want to and I insist on it. Especially since I know I'm one of those voters they'd love to see staying home in some state of disgust or frustration. NOT gonna hand the bad guys an easy win, regardless!!!! Don't you do it, either!

The key word the FR has used to successfully sum-up liberals of any stripe: "weakness."

They look good, like they're veritable genuises, but really, they know us better than we want to know ourselves, and play the same bis repetita tune with great effect. Everytime.

It is sickening, all the more so because now we have no hope of a future without war. At least during the Bush years we had the hope of one day throwing them all out of office, gaining the WH, the House and the Senate. That was the ONLY thing that made all the bloodshed and torture and lies, bearable.

But what do we do now?

I am sick to death of them all. I will curse those responsible to my dying day.

Bertolt Brecht "The God of War"

"I saw the old god of war stand in a bog between chasm and rockface.
He smelled of free beer and carbolic and showed his testicles to adolescents, for he had been rejuvenated by several professors. In a hoarse wolfish voice he declared his love for everything young. Nearby stood a pregnant woman, trembling.
And without shame he talked on and presented himself as a great one for order. And he described how everywhere he put barns in order, by emptying them.
And as one throws crumbs to sparrows, he fed poor people with crusts of bread which he had taken way from poor people.
His voice was now loud, now soft, but always hoarse.
In a loud voice he spoke of great times to come, and in a soft voice he taught the women how to cook crows and seagulls. Meanwhile his back was unquiet, and he kept looking round, as though afraid of being stabbed.
And every five minutes he assured his public that he would take up very little of their time."
