If ISIS is so scary and dangerous, we must RAISE TAXES TO PAY FOR this WAR

The media and politicians are so scared, they no doubt will go along with raising taxes to pay for something so important-

This is just so scary- the boogeyman is going to get us!!!

Bernie Sanders needs to bring up raising taxes to pay for this,

That will put an end to this bullshit real fast.

We can also follow what Smedley Butler suggested, that during a time of war, the CEO's of the war machine will take the same pay as a grunt.

This will end talk of war forever.

Have the terrified pundits and politicians explained how they are going to pay for this?

Because Last time....those two tax cuts didn't actually work out so well....

....then they blamed poor, unemployed and disabled people for all the money they wasted.

Every member of Congress must vote to increase taxes on top earners with their yes on bombing vote.

Congress must also voluntarily reduce their own salary to that of a grunt until the war is over.

Congress must also offer up one family member each for the future 'boots on the ground'

The only way we can defeat them is to buckle down, cut the safety net, and lower taxes on the rich so that they might bestow their blessings upon us. Nothing else will do!

by a new tax. I mean a line item on your pay stub. WAR TAX - $XXX.

We would become the most peaceful nation on earth.

I've read that our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost each and every taxpayer between $30,000 and $40,000. I cringe when I think of how much healthcare, education, and infrastructure that could have paid for.

due to patriotic duty.

tax raises should start with those making $100,000 and up a year, and cut all corporate deductions and subsidies during the war.

Shortest war ever! It will be even shorter than Grenada. Remember that war? Me neither.

Raising taxes above the level they currently are in America is a sensible policy in general, and doubly so in response to an expensive war.

Federally limiting the pay of senior staff of arms manufacturers (assuming that's who you mean by "the CEO's of the war machine&quot is a stupid policy in general, and doubly so during an expensive war.

The people with the power to make all the military suppliers move oversees and stop supplying the USA - which is, in effect, what your proposal would amount to - are precisely the people with the power to decide whether or not to fight a war in the first place.

If the government wants "no war", it can just achieve that directly. If it *does* want a war - which in my view is sometimes, albeit seldom, the right decision - then rendering it impossible to buy munitions is clearly a bad move.
