Did We Get Muhsin Al-Fadhli? (Khorasan Leader and 9/11 Conspirator.)

Muhsin Al-Fadhli Dead? Pentagon Investigating Reports That Khorasan Leader Was Killed In Syria Airstrike

WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The Pentagon on Wednesday said it was still investigating whether U.S. strikes in Syria on Tuesday killed a leader of the al Qaeda-linked Khorasan group, adding that it could take time to determine.

"We just don't have a confirmation to make at this point," said Pentagon spokesman Colonel Steve Warren. "We don't have personnel on the ground to verify, so we're continuing to assess."

Reuters quoted a U.S. official earlier on Wednesday saying the United States believed one of those killed in the strike against the group was Mohsin al-Fadhli, who the U.S. government has identified as a al Qaeda financier close to al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden. This terror group’s leader is a 33-year-old named Muhsin al-Fadhli, who was “barely more than a boy [of] 19 when the September 11, 2001 attacks occurred,” though even then he was one of the few top commanders who knew about the terror plot in advance, The Washington Post is reporting. In 2012, the State Department identified him as an al Qaeda leader in Iran, the country he subsequently left for Syria.

Let's hope the strikes were successful in neutralizing this group's ability to harm.

knowledge of AQ and its tentacles. Al-Fadhli was a close associate of Awlaki and al-Asiri (let's not forget the Chicago bombs, and the BA bomb plot) who was/is pretty high up in AQAP's structure. Those Yemeni bombmakers are pretty damn adept--just look at all the shit they've been up to.

US Treasury believes that he was one of the members of AQ who knew of 9/11 in advance because of his technical finance skills, his closeness to OBL, and the level of responsibility he had in the organization (he masterminded the MV Limburg.) This is probably intelligence developed through backtracing associates of OBL through information provided by Salim Hamdan and other detainees.
