Only now are we beginning to understand the prophetic, damning truth of Thomas E. Ricks's words, who wrote in Fiasco: The American Military Adventure in Iraq, 2003-2005: "The events for which we will remember the Iraq war haven't even happened yet."

I've seen DUers say don't worry, be happy! I've seen a thread about ponies and rainbows. I've seen the same arguments for war used by rightwingers from those who call themselves "Democrats™".

If it feels like up is down and left is right and the whole thing doesn't make sense, just look at this picture of Bo in the snow and go shopping because that will take all your war blues away.

Yes. Yes I do. The world is never going to be a utopia. People like Saddam Hussein are necessary evils to keep order in the world. George H.W. Bush got hell for not going into Baghdad during Desert Storm, but his decision was vindicated by his own son.

And right wing conservative regimes always use religion to placate the population. It makes fascism so much easier. I mean this in the broadest sense. Conservative as in ruling the country with the few elite wealthy class as the primary beneficiaries with extortion and bribery going on at the highest levels. And as we all know, if you give religion an inch they will take a mile and before long the extremes of any religion crawl out from the dregs. The Westboro Baptist Church in the US, ISIS in the middle east. Even the Russian Orthadox Church in Russia is being wooed and placated by Putin.

She always has been. She's hawkish. I backed Obama over Hillary in '08 primarily over that factor.

Obama never pretended to be anything other than what he is, at least in my opinion. He campaigned vigorously on a PROMISE to pursue America's enemies wherever they are. He PROMISED that if Bin Laden was in Pakistan he would go there and kill or capture the man with or without Pakistan's permission.

So he's never lied about what he believes. Same for Hillary. She walks, talks, and acts hawkish. She's a hawk.

I voted Justice Party in 2012, but I've never regretted my vote for Obama.

If it makes sense, I'll vote for Hillary in 2016 with full knowledge of where she stands. She stands in agreement with maybe 50% of what I believe.

me, the Party, the troops, the country, the world, and the Iraq people. We counted on her and other Democrats to try, at least try to reign in the crazies of the Republican Party. But no. I call it betrayal. She, along with many others, will have a lot of explaining to do when they meet their maker.

They debate the Constitutionality of what Obama is doing with regards to the New Middle Eastern War; they diss Congressional leaders for not contesting what Obama is doing, as Congress doesn't want any blame if this doesn't come out all right, and yet they will take credit if it turns out fine.

And they mention how much Obama has morphed in his years as President. From someone who back in 2008 had disdain for the Iraq War Resolution, but now uses aspects of the language parsed during the Bush regime to justify what has happened in Syria over the last few days.

You can watch it here:
