PowerPoint slideshows depicting nude adult women were found in the accounts of former Corbett spokesman Kevin Harley, former deputy attorney general Pat Blessington and former executive attorney general Richard Sheetz, the agent said.
Videos showing adult men and women in various sexual acts were found, the agent said, in the email accounts of Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Chris Abruzzo, former Secretary of Legislative Affairs Chris Carusone, State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan, state Board of Probation and Parole member Randy Feathers and former environmental prosecutor Glenn Parno.

(11,065 posts)to the press. The photos were in the emails of the people named and the Powerpoint was made using some of those images to show to the press because they didn't want to show the images publicly. That way the press could see what the images were from the Powerpoint presentation in order to verify what sort of photos they were so that the pres could report on the situation accurately.
Read the article.

(11,065 posts)The article is rewritten now, so the first paragraph saying that powerpoint slideshows were found of sexual images has been changed to the images were found in the emails and a Powerpoint slideshow was made including those images to show to the press because the press wanted copies of the actual images.
The first paragraph now reads:
"Old email accounts of top current and former Pennsylvania officials including the state police commissioner, the top environmental regulator and Gov. Tom Corbetts former spokesman contained sexual images and videos, the attorney generals office said Thursday."
The bit about what the Powerpoint was about is explained further down in the article:
"The office had received and rejected requests for the images from news outlets citing the states Right-to-Know law. But aides to Ms. Kane on Thursday invited reporters to view a sample of the videos and photographs at the agencys Harrisburg offices.
Reporters were not shown emails. Rather, an agent displayed images that had been collected into files on a laptop computer. As he did so, he named former employees in whose old email accounts the images had allegedly been found."
"The agent clicked through Powerpoint slideshows depicting nude women and said they had been found in the accounts of former Corbett spokesman Kevin Harley, former deputy attorney general Patrick Blessington and former executive deputy attorney general Richard Sheetz."
