A beautiful moment that makes life worth it

Sometimes I get caught up in work, current events... terror terror terror!!!! ISIS ISIS ISIS!

November elections, oh know will the repubs take over the senate.... Work Work Work,, you are laid off, you're not laid off

Killings, Murder of AA. Kidnappers man can I go on

I work from home Monday and Friday and this morning my almost 3 year old granddaughter walked down stairs with her big brown eyes, curls flowing down from her hair and her innocent adorable smile. She looks at me and says" Nonnie can I have some milk and toast"?

for that moment, my stress levels goes down to negative 10, my heart is full of love and life is good. For that one moment my life is only her and I and it is a good life... I stop what I am doing and give her all my attention. She loves it, but has no idea how much I need her and love her..

Please don't screw this world up, for the sake of our children, grand children, great grand children

than that a parent has for a child. Both of mine are teenagers now, and I've loved all the years we've had together.

NatualHigh, believe it or not it gets better. In a few years you will get the gift of a grand child at least from one of them. You don't have to say no to your grand child, because that is mom and dad's job or mom and mom's job or dad and dad's job. You think there is no greater love than the love of having a child. Wait until your a grand parent. You get all the good days.

PEACE to us all

Grand children are adorable and well worth the
stress involved in still raising their parents

man it was not fun for me during the teenage years. I remember feeling like and abused taxi driving. Son. "Ma will you drive me here?"
mom "Sure"
Son "can you park down the street from the house so noone sees me with you"?
argument begins.....................

but I'm always their grammy and they're always happy to see me and talk to me. That's the best part.

about the innocent thing. Not looking forward to that as I find it heart breaking. That is why I try to enjoy the moment.

Even though we'll never meet I love the kindness in your heart, the love for our fellow humans. I have a 7 years old grand daughter so I know of that love you speak of.

Welcome to our world here at DU, its people like you who make it all worth while.

but - damn! - if they aren't the best things ever!

The world has always been screwed up, unfortunately, but let's hope we can make it a little better!

I am lucky enough to be able to take care of my two grandsons, ages 6 and 5. Nothing better than worrying about all the things going on in the world, then having a chance to stop and watch a praying mantis with these little guys.(That was our latest adventure yesterday).

Right now they think I am all knowing and all powerful! I will teach them all I can , and love them all I do, and hope that the world they come of age in has turned into a better place from where it seems to be heading now.

Peace to you and yours!
