No, but as I and Ayaan Hirsi Ali points out...can we really say that....women are treated equally in the Muslim world? I mean, their testimony in court is very often counted as half. They need permission to leave the house in some places.

Having read her first book - the one where she explains her escape - yeah . . . it's not exactly a great place for a woman who can break free of the patriarchy and think for herself. It's certainly not safe for her either.

Just for the record.

And as a meaningless aside: can we excise the word "school" as a verb from the English language? It's getting really tired and tiresome. A better title for this would have been: Two television personalities discuss Islam.

turning one part of speech into another is part of the dynamics of a language. Shakespeare , for example, turned the word ghost into a verb - 'Julius Caesar, I Who at Phillipi the good Brutus ghosted'

and the word 'dog' is turned into a verb - 'Destruction straight shall dog them at the heels'

and , "I dreamed a dream"

Let us not school others about slavish obedience to one's own prejudices concerning language usage.

What major religion of the world does not restrict basic individual rights and freedoms for some class of people?

Liberals stand for expanding individual rights and freedoms.

"Imagine...no religion, too."

If you think someone should die for leaving the Muslim faith, you're an extremist.

"Extremist" doesn't necessarily mean either, and in some places, that view is not particularly extreme, I think.
