Lamborn Will Win His Re Election Handily Because The Religious Right Supports Him.

I was in Colorado Springs in 1969 after Vietnam at Fort Carson. These people are NO patriots. They have been living off of government welfare forever due to Fort Carson. They did not support the vets when I was there. They exploited us and used us. They did not like us vets and their patriotism was phony. When I got out I looked at Colorado Springs as a POS city.

They now have embraced the extreme right and support the Christianazis down there who hate Obama and want him to fail. And the support Lamborn and what he says. The Dem has almost no chance to win there. I still live in Colorado and we have a radical Christian problem in that I think these fundy nuts believe that Colorado should be a model theocracy.

Nothing that is happening surprises me here. We are surrounded by wing nuts. Look at who is running against Dems. All of them are churches with a radical agenda very little different than radical Moslems. Corey Gardner is a tea party Christian who wants to basically outlaw even birth control itself. Beauprez is a tea bagger who wants to seize the national parks. And it goes on on all. Virtually all the GOP candidates in Colorado are radical and actually racist churchies.

Almost all the churches here I am sure or politicking and telling their congregations who to vote for.

But the Springs has changed quite a bit since then.

Lamborn's opponent is General Irv Halter, a retired Air Force general, and if I were advising him, I would suggest that he take this issue and milk it for all it is worth with the military voters here. They are not all against Obama.

I see this as an opening for the General to educate the military voters about who they might be voting for. This could make this race very interesting.
